SMMA review
I finally made it over to see the guys at SMMA yesterday, and I am quite pleased with what I found.
I had been looking around for a new co-op to start going to for a while now, and after poking around on this site, I decided to check out SMMA.

Initially, I wasn't sure about a place that operates in a house. It seems that this house has been converted to an office, and why not? I have figured out that what makes a good co-op/care provider has nothing to do with the space in which they operate, but rather what motivates them to operate in the first place.
After smiling for the security camera I was let in through a locked, steel door...so far, no worries about security, lol.
The reception/waiting area are very comfortable and the receptionist was very friendly. After a few minutes I was greeted by a nice guys who's name I forgot, and welcomed in to the med room.
The area where you get your buds is pretty standard. Glass display case with big jars of nugs, a refrigerator case to display baked goods, butter, and various other stuff. They carry tinctures, clones, buds, slaves/topicals, and pretty much anything else you expect to find in a well stocked co-op.
As a first timer, I was given my choice of pretty much any of the edibles (had to go with the headstash chocolate bar...I love those things) as a freebie, and also picked up a neat little nug jar, compliments of the house!
Now, on to the meds....
They have a really nice selection at $10, $12, and $13 (suggested donation levels) per gram. But here is the thing, they all look really nice! I grabbed a few strains from the two top tiers, and was quite surprised to see VERY dense buds, coated in trikes, and properly dried/cured. I don't think that I saw anything from any category that I wouldn't want to try! I also like that price breaks start, not at the oz. like many places, but rather when you get a QUARTER or more! This really impressed me.
Many places offer several varieties at various price/donation levels. The problem that most everyone encounters is this: you generally get what you pay for! Crappy, loose, ill tasting lower buds for those who can't/won't pay$15-$20/g. Yet if you want to pay (more than street price) you can often find something significantly better.
I would love to see prices get better (lower), but for now I am happy to find a place like SMMA that I can get good meds at and not feel like I'm encouraging the practice of gouging patients for a few extra dollars, simply because they can.
Thank you to the guys and gals at SMMA! I spent an extra 20 min in the car, but the drive was worth it.
I will add some bud reviews/photos of the stuff that I picked up yesterday, later on tonight or tomorrow.

RE: SMMA review
I would like to add that SMMA has consistently good and fair priced concentrates. You can't go wrong trying out their bubble or any other concentrate they import, quality control is key at SMMA.

RE: SMMA review
SMMA is great, although one time I got some from the $10 level and it was pretty bad. But all their 45 an 8th is killer.

And their great price on concentrates are awesome. They have some of the best bubble hash (besides SPM's og kush hash) i have had. And for 20 bucks a gram it makes it the best in my book!

RE: SMMA review
The last hash I had was some $40/g stuff from Herbal Choice...it was OK, but $20/g. sounds much better.
I wish I wouldn't have been pressed for time...oh well, next time I visit I will have to try some of their hash.

RE: SMMA review
Have to tip my hat to the SMMA folks as well. Good meds, good attitude and excellent customer service. I never feel rushed and I'm treated like a friend which will keep me coming back to this co-op.

RE: SMMA review
The bubble hash they usually have is the stuff I really like, has a soft and very earthy indica taste, and is quite potent. I also like how easy it is to work with compared to the oils that I have made

RE: SMMA review
I donate bubble here sometimes. They are really professional. Haven't been to a lot of newer clubs but I would say this is a good one. They have some decent bud but never the straight fire. A lot of rolled cali outdoor which is to be expected with most clubs. That being said, it's a solid club. Lots of selection and good prices.

RE: SMMA review
I would have to say that as far as dispensaries go, SMMA is probably better than average, and that's not saying much. However, when I went in I found the typical young stoner that didn't know his ass from a hole in the ground working as bud tender and had to show them the PM on all of their in stock clones. They actually believed it was premature resin production! I will admit that their dry meds were much better than most other places though.

More game than Milton Bradley. More flavor than Now & Laters.
